Fear is a powerful thing. In this world, there are many good reasons to be afraid. We fear the loss of our job or a loved one; we fear a bad test result or that people won’t like us; we fear the future for our kids; we fear death. How do we overcome fear so that we aren’t bound by it or ruled by it? We must not be afraid to face our fears. But on the other hand, we must not fall to a foolish self-confidence. True courage is found in Christ.
