false gods

Everyone worships something. People were made to worship God in heart, soul, mind, and strength. But in our life and work, we often worship other things—idols—things like fame, freedom, wealth, power, sex, family, achievement, etc. These idols, these false gods are destructive and enslaving and we tend to become like them. However, the good news is that the gospel has the power to reorient our worship and bring us a life of love, joy, and peace, the very life we are longing for.
