The Way of Personal Growth (or How to Better Love Your Loved Ones During a Quarantine): Have you noticed that this stay-safe-at-home time is putting some strain on your close relationships? During this time of working, worshiping, homeschooling, and EVERYTHING together, it can be difficult to love your loved ones well. One reason is our heart-tendency to be judgemental of others. But in the way of Jesus, we find a way to experience personal growth that results not only in a better you — but also in better relationships.
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. wrote, “Yes, the arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice.” At the end of our age, Jesus will return, the dead will rise, and everyone great and small will stand before the throne of Christ to give an account of their lives. This Judgment Day means that justice will be done, every wrong will be set to right, and we must be people who are all about justice. For the Christian, there’s nothing to fear about the day of judgment. For God is both just and justifier for those in Christ.
