made new

The Christian life is hard—it’s a battle. You’d think life would get easier in following Jesus, but the struggle against sin remains. If you fail to recognize the battle or fail to understand how to fight in the battle, you will fall in the battle. But we are called to put off the old self and put on the new self—to fight with the strength that God gives us—to be made new by faith in Jesus. The good news is that we do not fight alone, and ultimately, it is God who has won our victory in Christ.
