Culture of Discipleship: This sermon is part of The Gospel According to Mark series. Jesus called the twelve apostles to follow him because he wanted them to be with him. After following him and learning from him, Jesus sent them out with the good news of the gospel to do what he had been doing. This process of discipleship—of following Jesus and helping others do the same—is the mission of the church (including every individual Christian) to this day. Discipleship requires access to people’s lives, the truth of the gospel, the power of the Spirit, and love. Who are you helping to follow Jesus? Who is helping you?
