Faith and Politics: This sermon is part of The Gospel According to Mark series. How should Christians interact with politics in an age marked by cynicism and fear? Some have the tendency to withdraw away from political engagement while others blindly welcome all aspects of political culture. This is not right, but is there another way? When Jesus is confronted by political leaders seeking to lay a political trap to discredit him, he responds in a brilliant way that amazes the people, but also helps us find our way today. In light of the gospel, faith must transcend and transform politics. The gospel changes our motivation, goal, and tone in politics. But ultimately, our true hope is in Jesus Christ, the King of kings and Lord of lords.
