Hope in Suffering and Death: This sermon is part of The Gospel According to Mark series. When traumatic events occur, all sorts of questions come up: Where do suffering and death come from? If God is good, why hasn’t He put a stop to suffering and death already? and more. When Jesus heals a woman who had suffered for 12 years, and then raises a little girl who had died, he gives us hope in the midst of suffering and death. We can’t save ourselves, but Jesus can and will because he wants a relationship with us. Our response is to put our faith in Christ, who ultimately would suffer and die so that we might have healing and life.
