Church Leadership
What is the role of church leadership in the mission of God? If the church is a garden, then church leaders are gardeners—laboring to bring flourishing life and growth and harvest from a diverse, but interdependent part of our world. The New Testament pattern for church leadership (qualified by character, gifting, and faith) is our pattern for ministry today with the ministry of the word and prayer as the primary task. This sermon is part of the “Something Greater” series. Recorded on Nov 6, 2016, by Pastor David Parks on Acts 6:1-7. Miracles, Signs, and Wonders

This sermon is part of the “Something Greater” series. Recorded on Oct 16, 2016, by Pastor David Parks on Acts […]

How do we overcome fear so that we aren’t bound by it or ruled by it? We must not be afraid to face our fears. But on the other hand, we must not fall to a foolish self-confidence. True courage is found in Christ. This sermon is part of the “Something […]

Finding Peace in Jesus’ Name
The good news of Jesus could be called the story of shalom. In the beginning, the world was whole and complete, it was perfect and good—it was perfect shalom (Hebrew for peace). The fall to sin brought the loss of peace that we experience to this day. In Christ, God is restoring peace in people’s lives today, but also promises to fully restore a world of shalom at the return of Jesus. So whether we need healing or mending or anything else to bring wholeness or completeness to our lives, the good news is that we may find this peace in […]
