The Way of Personal Growth (or How to Better Love Your Loved Ones During a Quarantine): Have you noticed that this stay-safe-at-home time is putting some strain on your close relationships? During this time of working, worshiping, homeschooling, and EVERYTHING together, it can be difficult to love your loved ones well. One reason is our heart-tendency to be judgemental of others. But in the way of Jesus, we find a way to experience personal growth that results not only in a better you — but also in better relationships.
Jesus was full of grace and truth. Why is truth so important? Truth is a window to see what is real in the world. Truth is a mirror to more clearly see yourself (your strengths and weaknesses, your sin and your potential for growth). Truth is a lens to more clearly see other people (their value and dignity, their need for grace and love). Pursue the truth. Face the truth. Speak the truth.

Can you be successful in your career and remain faithful to God throughout your life? It’s rare, but it’s possible. The key to both success and faithfulness is this: You absolutely have to grow. You can’t remain; you can’t coast into your God-given potential. You must grow in your knowledge, character, wisdom, faith, and so much more. But only in Christ do we find the ability to grow in such a way where God gets the glory and we get the love, joy, peace, and freedom of walking with God.
