Jesus Comes First
You were never meant to be ruled by fear, anxiety, or worry. This is not how you were created to live. And yet, that’s the world we live in, right? So what do we do? The first thing God told Gideon to do to overcome his fear—before God gave him any leadership tasks, before anything else—was to tear down the idols in his life. God is jealous. As our Creator, he deserves all of our worship. But as our loving Father, he doesn’t want any harm to come to his children. And worshiping/serving anything other than God is self-destructive and harmful. […]

God Is For Us
For many people, God is mostly unknown. They don’t have a personal relationship with him so their hearts and actions are spurred by fear of what God might demand of them or do to them—especially if they mess up! But God is patient and kind. God repeatedly responds to people’s fear with words of comfort (“Peace!”), command (“Do not be afraid.”), and promise (“You are not going to die.”). I Will Be With You
In this crazy world, fear is normal. Worry is common. But never before have people been so anxious. Some say we are living in The Age of Anxiety. So—What do you do when you’re afraid? Because he will make your paths straight. God will use your fearlessness, your willingness to do big bold things for his glory. You have no idea what God can do in and through your life. This is a standalone sermon […]
