How many times should you forgive someone who sins against you? Is there a limit? Good question! It all depends on how important it is to reconcile broken relationships. The Process of Reconciliation
When there’s conflict in a marriage, friendship, business partnership, or family there is a break. A broken relationship is a lot like a broken bone. Both need a process of healing or the pain and discomfort won’t go away on its own. In Matthew 18, Jesus gives us the process of reconciliation. The gospel of Jesus Christ is a gospel of reconciliation. Reconciliation is the restoration or healing of a broken relationship. The gospel is the story of the broken relationship between people and God, and the announcement that God has done the unthinkable through his son, Jesus, in bringing reconciliation to our relationship with him. All this was motivated by the love of God. People were the great passion that motivated God in his saving work.
