“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” The bible starts with a story of beginnings. In this story, we meet a creator God who masterfully forms and fills his good and perfect creation—bringing order to chaos, light to darkness and life to death. God is Just
In the Christmas story, we see is that God is just. In Isaiah’s ancient prophecy, he foretold that Jesus would be born a king who would rule with justice and righteousness. Justice and righteousness are two sides of the same coin. Wherever something isn’t right, justice is required. Justice is fixing what’s broken, working for healing and reconciliation, and righting the wrongs of this world. God is Glorious
In the Christmas story, we see is that God is glorious. The glory of God in the Bible is often represented as radiant, beautiful, and somewhat fearsome light. God’s glory is the sum total of all the aspects of his character—everything of who God is.
